What is a special event?
Every year, Lovers & Madmen stages 1-2 special projects in addition to the annual Rock Show. In the last few years, L&M has focused on new work and student-written adaptations of classic texts (such as the adaptation of the Odyssey this past year), as well as exploring collaborations with various dance groups.
What is the Rock Show?
Our third special event every year is the celebrated Rock Show, performed outdoors in the spring. Lovers & Madmen was founded out of a group of individuals who decided to put on Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew at the Rock in 1999. The annual Rock Show builds on that legacy by putting on a fantastic, fun work on the eve of Dillo Day.
