2015-2016 Executive Board
Executive Director: Eloia Peterson The Executive Director oversees all board functions and helps to hold the group accountable to its goals. She plans and runs weekly board meetings and is the representative of L&M on the Student Theatre Coalition and in any dealings with the university. Artistic Director: Matthew Bentley The artistic director is responsible for curating the artistic output of the Main Stage season. They are responsible for leading season selection, and throughout the season they work closely with the directors to help them develop and express their point of view. Matthew has previously directed Lovers and Madmen’s show, Twelfth Night and is currently working on his thesis project, an untitled adaptation of Shakespeare’s War of the Roses saga. He has studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in England and the Stratford Shakespeare Festival in Canada in addition to his undergraduate work at Northwestern. Business Manager: Casey Norlin The Business Manager handles the financial side of Lovers & Madmen. They work as a liaison to the Student Organization Finance Office. The Business Manager also helps the Producer, Production Manager and Executive Director to budget each show, and is responsible for all funding requests and reimbursements. Production Manager: Gustavo Berrizbeitia The Production Manager is the liaison to all of Lovers & Madmen's incredible producers and helps oversee the execution of the season. Co-Technical Director: Doug Pinckney Technical Directors work with sound and lighting designers and engineers to support and execute their designs. When not working on technical theater, Doug can be found working as executive producer for the Nine Lives podcast, as well as roaming the halls of TECH as a physics and math major. . Co-Technical Director: Noah Watkins Stage Management Director: Bryana Barry Publicity Director: Michael Moravcsik Education Director: Jackson Simpson The Education Director coordinates and leads drama workshops for Evanston area students centered on classical theatre. Outreach Co-Chair: Nicole Bauke As Outreach Co-Chair, Nicole works to create events and strengthen relationships with other groups on campus, both relating to the board's season and mission statement. Nicole is majoring in journalism and minoring in theatre and environmental policy and culture. She is a producer and an actress within the theatre community, as well as an awestruck audience member. Outside of L&M, Nicole is the Campus Relations Coordinator of Wildcats for Israel and VP Admin for Greekbuild, and is also a member of Zeta Tau Alpha and NU Real Foods. Outreach Co-Chair: Ele Hagermoser Company Manager: Juliet Wolfe The Company Manager handles internal board affairs such as meeting notes, distribution of files, photography, and archival duties. Juliet is a sophomore theatre major with a passion for acting, costume design, and creative writing. She is absolutely amazed by the student theatre scene on Northwestern's campus and thrilled to be a part of it! Special Events Director: Adam Orme The Special Events Director is in charge of supporting and helping produce the Board's special events, in addition to being the point person for the annual Rock Show. Development Director: Caroline Chu Literary Manager: Preston Choi The Literary Manager is responsible for researching and expanding L&M's canon. This includes maintaining and curating a play file of classical and classically inspired work, helping directors pick shows, and making sure the board produces shows that fall within our mission statement. The literary manager also serves as a dramaturg whenever needed, and aids with adaptation. |
